The rooms were tidy on level 1, the staff were extremely friendly and easygoing. The hotel was in an excellent position really close to the supermarket and waterfront, central Whangarei, local tavern and shopping centers and the city centre, nearby restaurants, supermarkets and takeaways.

We had an awesome stay at the Stonehaven Motel. The setting was marvellous, and we loved that it was close to supermarkets, takeaways, and various shops. The location was convenient for reaching the Whangarei Anglican Church. Thank you to the staff for making our stay enjoyable.

Close to town Friendly staff
The unit we stayed in was next to reception and whenever the buzzer went with people coming and going we could hear it very clearly.

We stayed at a motel very convenient to the town center. It was located near two large supermarkets and just outside of the central business district. the room was spacious and felt like a home away from home with a large kitchen area and necessary equipment including a fridge, a kettle, and an electric skillet. the owners were very friendly, providing menus from numerous local restaurants and daily fresh milk for coffee or tea. Off-street parking was also available, making it easy to come and go.
There was one issue that made the stay less enjoyable, but it was out of the control of the owners. the bed was a bit hard for our liking and made it a bit difficult to get a good night's rest.

Impeccably clean and huge room, all in all had great stay.
Everything was great, favourable location very close to shopping stores, the staff were outstandingly accommodating. Really enjoyed the room on level 1, my bed was exceptionally comfortable. Location: the hotel was so close to several shops including Supermarkets, restaurant and takeaway facilities and local amenities and shopping centre.

We stayed there over Christmas and the weather was amazing, which made the location close to the beach a real bonus. , the view from the balcony was fantastic, it was really worth it. We also liked the free parking.
But unfortunately, the room was smaller than we expected, and felt quite cramped. The bed was also very uncomfortable, and we did not get a good night's sleep at all.

The convenience of the location and the apartment's spaciousness and facilities.
Having to cart suitcases up two flights of stairs, limited parking spaces, and the apartment's rather tired decor.
